Vacation starts soon

Baked a pan of maltose buns this afternoon which they are also the last batch of buns i have baked in August. Yeah, am going back to M'sia on this coming Monday and going to stay in there for more than 3 weeks. Can't wait to taste those yummy foods, especially DURIAN! I miss it a LOT!

I have ordered my GLAM GLOW mud mask from hqhair dot com, paid only £34.99, the most importantly they provide FREE worldwide delivery. I have actually never used this mud mask before, but been told it is a superb product which can give immediate camera-ready skin look and that's why it has been widely used by Hollywood Entertainment industries. Hehehe, now i just can't wait to receive mine. Other than ordering this mud mask, i ordered a tub of Egyptian Magic cream too which is good to be applied on eczema skin.

All the while i have been quite satisfied with the vpn service provided by strongvpn, but this morning, i could not connect to the vpn at all, for both my laptop and iPhone. I was pretty in rush to have vpn to connect to some blocked website, so without much choices, i went to get myself another vpn. I found it from taobao and paid only RMB17/month which is rather cheaper than what i have from strongvpn. Perhaps i should stop using strongvpn which its monthly fees is too expensive and it seems rather unstable recently!

Moet & Chandon

I bought a champagne for my hubby, as his 40th birthday present. I like this Moet & Chandon a lot and bet he would like drinking it too. Other than this bottle of champagne, i have booked a table at one romantic steak house as well. As for my kids, they are going to sing "Oppa Gangnam Sytle" for their daddy. How funny!!

If i had a white Christmas

If you are staying in New Orleans, you definitely can get yourself some high quality NOLA patios. How sad that i am not staying there otherwise i believe i would have white Christmas! I actually have been hoping to have snowy Christmas since i was a little, but until now it is still a daylight dream which seems so hard to get achieved! Well, if i really can have a white Christmas i will get my family a real pine Christmas tree as well!!

Lunch at Station 1

My lunch ~ fried fish fillet with rice, taking it at Station 1 with my friend after we done our grocery shopping at Jusco this morning. After lunch, we spent another 2 hours chatting and drinking there. It was almost 3pm by the time i reached home. I actually tonight going to braise a pot of pork knuckles but since i just came back home not long ago and do not have enough time to defrost the meat so i have already decided to bring the kids eating outside later. I prefer dine out, easier for me since the maid is not coming tonight.

Words Learning for a 4yo

Recently i found this book at DangDang, i bought the first book after i read their reviews. I was pretty skeptical about the techniques so i just ordered the first book instead of getting the full set which has 7 books in it.

I taught my Eli the first page at the night i received this book, Eli's response was good, perhaps i should say his response was better than my expectation. He could memorize the first 16 words in less than 10 minutes, and he showed interest in reading this book too. So without much thinking, i ordered another book 2, 3 and 4 immediately. As for the rest, they are still in old version which without colors and pictures, so better i wait for the new version arrives to make them into a complete set.

What i like this book is, it shows the simple words first, then comes to 2 words, and gradually in sentence which the sentences are made up by those learned words. My Eli felt excited when he could read the full sentences by his own, think this is the motivation to keep him learning.

My soon-to-be 28 months old girl

My girl is almost 28 months old now and still a breastfed baby, not exclusively though. She takes once or twice growing up milk per day, other times she likes being a leech, latching on me whenever she sees me in lying position or sitting position. Her overly demand of sucking has been causing a lot of inconveniences for me, i feel exhausted but i still have no heart to wean her off my boobs. I like the quiet time bonding with her and such moment is precious when she comfortably being held in nursing position. In fact, i have received quite lot of pressures from people especially my hubs, they just want me to stop. Some of them think perhaps i do not produce enough milk for my girl, and some of them say my milk now is actually nutrient-less, so better i wean her off. I am so in dilemma, stop or continue has been lingering on my mind for a while.

People will throw me a "wow and unbelievable" look when they are told i am still breastfeeding my toddler girl. Is it really such an unbelievable act when a mother is still breastfeeding her toddler girl? I have a friend actually breastfed her boy till her boy was 4 years old. Well, i don't think i am able to nurse my girl like how my friend did. I am getting prepared to wean her off my boobs because she will attend nursery in another few months time. Time just flies, my ever fragile baby is now a cute little girl, and very soon, she will go to primary school, then high school, then Uni, and then go dating with boyfriend. And very soon, she will hunt for her custom engagement ring, don't you agree that all these will just happen in the blink of an eye?

So slacking off

It has been about a month since i last updated this blog, yeah, i have definitely lost my momentum to blog. I am so slacking off in maintaining my blogs, yeah, BLOGS. I own not only one blog, but few. Because of my slacking attitude, few blogs of mine have been deserted. During my absence, did you miss me? Well, i don't think i have much readers as i used to have, just think who wants to visit a deserted blog? Be honestly, my mind is stuck, i actually have lost the ideas in updating blogs. Updating blogs seems like a toughest job for me now as compared to motherhood job. Hopefully, i can back to blogging world again after the kids returning to school. Keep my fingers crossed, the school reopens in another 11 days.

Waiting for my parcel

I have been waiting for my parcel arrives on my doorstep ever since i placed my order on Gap yesterday. Normally i can get my stuff after a day of waiting, hope there is no exception this time too because i need the pair of shoes urgently. :-)

The baking mood is back

It has been a while since i last updated this blog. I started writing this blog when my first son was about 18 months old, and now he is already 7. We just celebrated his lunar birthday yesterday, how time flies...

I baked him a butter pound cake with rich buttercream frosting yesterday, actually it was my first time to frost a cake. It was a fun experience indeed and i had been looking for more frosting tools and ingredients online the whole morning. Hopefully i can master the frosting skill after few practices.

WECITY

Everyone in my household is so addicted into playing WeCity on iPhone and iPod Touch. Be frankly, sometimes i have urge to buy more ZAP so that i could build the products instantly without any waits! Sigh, this is the drawback of too addicting into something! You know, i even wake up at the midnight purposely to ship my products. OH NO...i should have controlled myself a bit..

Handwashed my Coach sling bag

I could not stand the dirt on my Coach sling bag anymore, so i gave it a wash. I didn't do any researches on how to clean the dirt but i simply took it under the tap water and gave it a good wash. I used wet soft cloth as brush with powder detergent to clean the surface and later just ran the detergent bubbles under the cold tap water. I hung it directly at my balcony and wind dry it. Luckily, the way i washed didn't spoil the leather and didn't lead to any discoloration problem. It still look like 80% new now. :-)

ShapeWriter makes my typing easier!

I was introduced to this amazing ShapeWriter by one of my blogger friend quite long ago. I did not really know the actual usage and benefits of this ShapeWriter until yesterday. I did not have time to sit in front of my laptop to do my own things because i always busy during weekend. Kids always want me to accompany them in the room. I was a bit boring while accompany them to watch their favorite telly program, so i tried out this ShapeWriter on my iPhone all of a sudden and fall in love with it immediately. Oh gosh, i should have tried typing my documents through this ShapeWriter earlier, it simply user friendly and save my typing time a lot!!!

Kids love to drink Yakult

My kids love Yakult, especially the little girl. She can drink few bottles if i let her drink freely. Of course, i limit one bottle for her everyday.

I hardly get the local made Yakult, normally i will get those imported from HK one. I somehow still skeptical taking the local made Yakult, actually both local and HK made are same in price. Of course the price will be different if i convert each currency back to Ringgit.

Example,
RMB8.8 = RM4.4
HKD8.8 = RM3.5

So, getting HK made Yakult from HK is more cheaper, but since i cannot go to HK everyday, so i force to get HK made Yakult from local retail shop, what to do, some money really have to let people earn it.

Back to the topic, actually i just wanted to share with you all about this Yakult light, as compared to original Yakult, i would choose to get this Yakult light more but it is more expensive undoubtedly. Can't really remember their exact amount, if not wrong, i paid around HKD13 for that 5 little bottles, expensive, huh?

Baking frenzy

I am so into baking lately, can say going to be crazy. I have the urge to bake whenever i feel free. Gosh, like what my hubs says, i should have taken opportunity to give myself a rest whenever i could instead of busying myself in baking. But, i find the joy when i am baking.

I can keep browsing the recipes online to get myself inspired, and bake right after i finish reading those recipes. That's so much fun in baking, be honestly, i love baking more than cooking!

I want to bake later, i have found a green tea cupcake recipe which the cupcake doesn't need any butter. Wow, i wonder how does it taste when the butter is omitted!

My first baked chocolate cake ever

The aroma of fresh baked chocolate cake wafting through the house, wow, i can feel my tummy is drumming and protesting here, think i should better take a slice to taste! Although i have been gaining weight quite a lot lately, like what my friend said, i still have ROOM to let the flesh grow....

My not so success chocolate cake, but, don't judge it on its outlook because it does taste heavenly.

The prices of iPad in HK

My friend asked me to check Apple iPad for him if i had visited to HK. I checked for him yesterday at Broadway, Shatin, found that the prices are not cheap too. If i had extra money, i would definitely get one for myself.

Church in BaoAn

We finally found a church after staying here for more than 4 years. In short, we didn't attend any worship service at church for the past 4 years, glad that we finally can go to church every Sunday from now onwards.

As i took a short walk around their compound, i was actually quite impressed with the different designs of the Sunday School classes where they have 3 classes that serve different range of age groups. I bet that my boys will like to join Sunday School, maybe it would be better if they had church service in English. I always hope my kids can learn more English, but sadly to say, Mandarin is our mother tongue, thus, it seems hard for me to teach them to speak proper English.

Maid problem is always here

My maid has just gone out. She told me she has something urgent to do so she needed to go to find her husband who has been not picked up her phone for 3 days. Actually i don't know how true of it since i found that she always likes to go out especially on Wednesday. Perhaps today just likes any other day that she wanna meet her husband and simply give lame excuse. Having a maid at home does help me a lot but sometimes it is way too uncomfortable especially i can't confront her even i realize the truth of her lie.
