I am going to sign up the umbilical cord blood storage soon, but be frankly until now i haven't decided which company i should choose. I was initially planned to opt for StemLife, but now i keep hearing that StemLife actually is not as good as CryoCord. Plus, i know there is another new storage bank available in Malaysia. So, i wanted to hear your comment provided you have signed up one previously.

Hi Huisia, I have sent an e-mail to your hotmail acct, hope you recieve it.
I am working with CellSafe International right now, e-mail me if you are interested to know more about our company, or check out our company website--http://www.cellsafegroup.com/
hope can meet up with you ;).
I am sorry to say that this cord blood storage seems promising but do not have valid successful rate so far in Malaysia. The theory seems workable, but not when you really come to do it in human. From the storage to cell tissue culture, validation...comparison between donor and recipients...it is seem so straight forward but one will never know what is behind the lab...we do not even being able to provide data on the expiry duration of storage for the cord blood...research is still research... get what I mean...
The newest company has a RM500 rebate or something. Cryocord and Stemlife should have something like that too, given that they are competitors. Let me know the details when you have the information :)
I signed up with Stemlife. Frankly I think all more or less the same kua. It's just an insurance. Oh, I recvd pamphlet fr Stemlife, they hv some sort of insurance protection.. err.. hv not read the details (lazy ma).
They also hv a blog.. http://stemlife1.blogspot.com/
I ended up using Family Cord Blood Services. They are based in US - Los Angeles and receive cord blood units from all over the world. In comparison to the other cord blood banks, they offer same quality but at lower prices. Their website has tons of information in which you can learn more about cord blood banking in general and the company - www.familycordbloodservices.com
YOu guys should see this blog :

Yes LAI you are absolutely right. I have signed up with Cryocord too. They are more professional and not promoting any blog like the other company. In fact I was surprised that the so called listed company has been actively promoting their own blog which I think is just like a Propaganda in the old Soviet ways.
which one did u sign up then? I am now in the same situation
When Compare, There are 4 companies at this moment.
StemLife, Crycord , Cell Safe and Stemtech International.
Each have the unit selling point. But don't believe whatever sales people on one side. You must survey at three three company. Request three Sales Rep to present to you. You will know those CRC on their professional presentation.
In My opinion. End of the their presentation. Client only compare 3 Things. First is Company Background, second is Price Package and Third Is Benefit.
Now the Benefit and Price almost the same.If Company A offer Freebies , then Company B will follow too. So don't focus on Benefit that what you will get. It doesn't become you main concern.
Same thing to Price offer. Atmost +_ RM 200 different. Price we paid must equivalence to quality. Some time they play around with processing. It you request lower the price , the process might turn into manual processing instead sell you in auto processing. Coz their do manual processing in so many year already. Each company got limited auto processing machine. One day the machine can't do so many sample. Therefore, Lab will do manual with your notice. This is the business Mah. Therefore choose company background and quality are the main concerns for me.
Only Big different is company Background and Lab Setup is different between each other.
My suggestion is Invite Three company.
StemLife ( coz listed but ethic not so good ) , Crycord (Coz Lab good but still sdn bhd), Cell Safe (young but still rare coverage ) and Final is Stemtech ( Coz Got Hospital base but still New).
