25 weeks updates


Currently i'm 25 weeks pregnant, but look like more than 30 weeks..sigh!

I have forgotten the exact weight of my first checkup (25 Nov 06), but roughly either 61kg or 62kg. Before i have baby, my weight around 58kg or 59kg with 172cm height.

My weights during each checkup:
Second (5 Jan 07) - 63kg
Third (9 Feb 07) - 65.5kg
Fourth (10 March 07) - 67.3kg
Currently measured by own scale - 67.5kg (i think figure must be different if using my gynae's scale)

So, altogether i almost gained 10kg, anyhow i still have another 15 weeks to go.

I have good appetite, i'm craving passionately for chocolate, cola and other spicy foods recently, unfortunately i only able to take 50% full in order to ensure i'm still able to breathe.

Though i'm applying the lotion religiously, i still have stretch marks that feel itchy sometimes. Due to the unpleasant stretch marks look, i'm neither to be a funky mother to show off my bump nor taking photo.

I have cramp every day and night, cramp seems more seriously on right calf.

I can't sleep on my back, more comfortable with right side sleeping, that's why i only have cramping on my right calf.

I have terrible backache, it happens basically on my left side. I feel like it has a "patch" sticking there..just don't know how to describe the pain.

Pimples no longer confined on forehead, as pimples already extended to nose. Somemore i have freckles on my cheeks.

No constipation at all. Thanks to Elken's spirulina.

Feel nausea occasionally, but without throwing.

Dreaming uninterruptedly everynight make me tired most of the time.

Pills taking: Pramilet's multivits, Bio-Enhanced's calcium, Neurogain and spirulina.

BTW, i think it's a right time to stop taking beef as i heard beef is really not good for baby's skin. Other than beef, i love prawn and crab too...I feel so guilty now....help!!

Your weight gain seems ok. I'm going in my 8th week...and I already gain 2-3kg....terrible..control control...but I have to eat..else nausea nausea

You not taking nutrifresh and millenium?

Dragonmummy - No, i didn't take nutrifresh now though i still have 2 packages in my kitchen cabinet. But i took nutrifresh everyday on my first trimester.

Take some good food, it's good for you. My wife didn't believe at first, now she really appreciated it. Enjoy the process and journey...what comes after is more 'challenging'...it makes the 9mths is like honeymoon.

I was craving for nasi lemak!!! I also curi-curi buy Twisties satay-bbq flavour when I was staying with my mom... hehehehe

I guess you don't have to worry too much over the weight gain unless you are putting on like 20kg. Just make sure u don't take too much salty stuff... will cause high BP.

Opps, i m too take a lot of chocolate and junk food!

my gynea told me to take the calcium before bed instead of morning, it help to ease the cramp, and he ask me to increase the intake to 2's, u may and ur gynea and try!

Hi Hui Sia, first of all , congratulations to you on your pregnancy. When I was pregnant with Ian, my obstetrician (OB) advised me to drink more plain water every day to avoid leg cramps at night. This also prevents bloating too, if you also reduce your salt intake. I disliked the taste of pasteurized milk, so she asked me to take calcium supplements (600mg) twice a day, but it's better for you to check with your gynae again for the right dosage. Also according to her, fresh, healthy food is essential, but there is NO PROBLEM if you snack on chocolate once a while. Try to avoid caffeinated soda drinks like cola, tea and coffee. Do you take pre-natal multivitamins too?

hi..10kg..stil ok la..just dun b overweight then ok liao..
me oso craving to spicy things...but not oily food pls...will feel nausea if the food too oily..oso crave to bread!! haha..
quite different with last time having Thad,,,

you look so slim la in the picture. I think what you eat does effect the baby's skin. I was very careful with Harvynna, and she has nice skin but with Rowena I did not botherwhat I ate, and she has a problem skin - poor thing

I love spicy food too, now and esp when i am preggie. For the stretch marks, i use the massage oil made frm oil essential oils infused in cold pressed vegetable oil. Bought it fr this shop. http://springspirit.com/ Don't know if they do delivery though. If you are interested, u can drop them an email.

And i have no stretch marks on my belly. But other places where i did not use it, got marks la. I find that it is better than the regular creams in the market.

Ah ya, agree with CP to take calcium b4 bed. Tat's what i did too.

pst pst... when i preggy hoh, i also eat steak and LOTSA crab... cuz FIL tot i like to eat, so every other weekend he'll make sure we go out and eat and he'll order crab... so i eat damn a lot when preggy... hahaha

I also craving for spicy food. I ate Malays food almost everyday when I was preggy with Anne. Your weight gain is normal lahhhh... No worry!

Prawns and crabs? I couldn't take those, got very itchy skin after taking that...

You are tall, so the weight does not really matter that much. I did take a lot of crabs too when I was preggy with Ryan.

Err.. I eat lots of prawns and other sea food whn I was pregnant with both kids, and their skin is quite good.. Don't worry..

Try applying oil instead of lotion. It might help with the itchyness. I too feel so heavy and big now and I eat like 2 people's portion.

Cramp usually means baby need more calcium from you so u might want to ask gynae for suggestions on more calcium pill. Take care yea!

There goes your flawless skin. I must say that fortunately I didn't get any pimples/acne during my 2 pregnancy. In fact skin condition improved. Take care yeah!

Hi huisia, just realized you are pregnant!! Congrate! To share with you, you are just fine. Last year when I'm preggy with En En, I put on almost 30kg!!!! from 55kg till 85kg... :OP I also don't worry that time coz appetite too good, and the bad part is crave for carbohydrate food!

During my pregnancy, me also like spicy food..everyday nasi lemak and curry mee without fail!And also a small cup of coffee..(i know it's no good..but me cannot control not to have lei)
With ur height, now is 65 should be ok what.Me when i delivery, my weight is 77kg!!!!With the height only 170cm!
