Sick boy

My little boy has just come back from hospital. He has been sick since last Saturday, cough, flu and fever. I at first thought he has recovered from his fever but the fever came back right after his afternoon nap just now. So off hubby took him to hospital. He needed a proper check rather than just taking those medicines that i brought from Malaysia. Moreover, H1N1 influenza is still spreading seriously now, much less the cold weather we have, so better to take him to the hospital. According to hubby, there were a terrible long queue waiting for their turn, and majority patients were kids and majority sickness is influenza-like symptoms.

Pre-birthday celebration

We will have pre-birthday bash for Eli later, 2 days early than his actual birthday! Yeah, i wish it's the PARTY TIME now because i just can't wait to sink my teeth into those pretty cupcakes.

We don't have special celebration actually, due to the H1N1 phobia, i would rather celebrate his birthday at home. However, i will go ordering KFC, according to my JO, KFC has Transformer give away, so i think the Transformer toy will definitely bring smile to every kid. Actually not many, including my Jem, there is just 5 children yet enough for creating DAMAGE to my parents' house.

Just for laughs

My Eli loves to carry bag recently, after carrying the bag he would wander the house, just like a busy bee. I was pretty curious what have he put inside his paper bag, i then took a look at his paper bag, and saw these : -

Eli's masterpieces

While backup-ing the pictures just now, i found these 2 photos which the color lines were doodled by Elijah. He likes to take pencil and give everything a good draw. The surface can be his toys, the sofa, a piece of paper or a book. That's why i have been reminding Jo for giving his school works a proper keep, otherwise his books or papers will be Eli's next target.

I'm addicted to online shopping

I only have 4 cloth diapers (BumGenius), although Eli doesn't wear it for full time, 4 cloth diapers really seem not enough for him from 9am till 9pm. My friend asked me why not go for full time since wearing cloth diaper can save more money and even friendly to environment for long run, yeah, i know, but be frankly i still prefer him to wear disposable diaper at night although the prices of disposable diaper like Mamypoko, Huggies Red and Pampers are more expensive than the prices stated in Malaysia.

At first, i preferred to buy more microfiber inserts, but, the postage charge is more expensive than the inserts itself if i order them from USA. The insert is at USD3.5 per piece, but the postage charge is about USD34, that's why i just ordered my cloth diapers from this doubibou.com which the owner is staying in HK. The postage charge just about HKD45 to send the parcel to Shen Zhen. I am still prefer to have more microfiber inserts, since hubby is going to Missouri this coming September, so will ask him buy the inserts directly from there.

The cloth diapers i got from doubibou.com are :-
1 x Happy Heiny's Pocket, 145.00 = 145.00
2 x Bumkins All-In-One, 145.00 = 290.00
1 x Happy Heiny's One-Size, 179.00 = 179.00
1 x BumGenius One-Size, 175.00 = 175.00
shipping = 45

So total is HKD834, i paid it by using my Paypal money, USD1 = HKD7.60910, so total in US dollar is $109.61. I seldom use my Paypal money, most of the time i used it for buying those scrapbooking stuffs, so this actually considered first time i used it for something real in physical for my son. Hopefully i can get them latest by Wednesday, hehe...just can't wait to see those cloth diapers in real. And, very soon i will use my money for some fine arts from Art Storage too. My house just deprived of some beautiful decorations, that's why it always looks dull to everyone. I believe having colorful arts at home can bring more delightful feels for everyone.

I wish i can bend my body

photo taken before we headed to Japanese Restaurant (蓝屋)on last Wednesday.
This bend down pose always seems as "hard to get posed" for me, but for a little baby, he can simply curve his body and stretching both of his hands to touch the floor. How i wished i can pose like Elijah. :)

Eli with his BumGenius

photo taken on 9/7/08
After few months of procrastinating, i finally dug out the BumGenius cloth diapers for Eli. I was actually quite skeptical of trying the cloth diaper on Eli again as his bum area was developed severe rashes last time right after 2 days of wearing the cloth diaper. But since i have 4 BumGenius at home and i had been reading lot and lot mommies letting their babies wear CD, so i also took mine CD out. Reasons were don't waste the CD and i wanna save money.

Surprisingly that Eli didn't have rashes this round of time. Yeah, so means i can buy more CD for him. I just got this website Doubibou site which sells a lot of nice cloth diapers, and most importantly is the shop is located in HK, just so easy for me to shop over there.

Eli snatched at the X-Box's controller

Oh, pity Eli! He cried and screamed till his face had turned red! This boy of mine has very stubborn attitude, he always makes sure he would get his "desired-thing" by showing out his high-pitch screamed, and he definitely a smart baby who knows he always win the situation by crying out as loud as he could. This photo was taken on yesterday, Eli would like to snatch at the X-box's controller by the time he saw his papa was holding it. So, can you guess who was the winner to hold the controller at the end? Hehe...

Answer : Papa 0, Eli 1 :)

So tired...

Eli was so tired while we had our buffet dinner at the Du Zhi Du Hotel (都之都) yesterday, maybe due to the flu bugs that he got it recently. Everyone would still take a glance at him even he was sleeping there and they just liked to comment about his spiky hair.

A peek.....

..........from the camera viewer!! He was just so busy to ransack the toy basket.

More shirts from MOTHERCARE

Elijah has very fair and pinky complexion, maybe due to this reason i simply love buying clothes for him. It never failed to bring back more shirts for him every time i went down to HK. Just like yesterday, i had spent more than 10mins in Mothercare for choosing shirts to him.
The 3 pieces just at HKD120, so it is about RM48 if converted back to Ringgit. Very cheap indeed!

Sick baby

My little baby is not feeling well, runny nose, cough, and even can find the rashes all over his private part. I suspected the cloth diaper (BumGenius) was the culprit or just the maid didn't wash out the detergent completely. Gosh, the rashes look terrible, and the worse is, i do not have any rash cream available at home. Been thinking to bring him to doctor, but my man is not feeling well too, so it's pretty impossible for me to bring my little baby to HK. Sigh, even breastfeeding also can't make him be more stronger..

Baby rejects formula milk

My little baby doesn't fancy formula milk, he only likes breastfeeding but i do not have enough milk for him. Moreover, i have been coughing on and off lately, my milk would just drop every time i was sick. At first i thought he doesn't like his Avent's bottle, so off i changed to Pigeon's bottle, but the new bottle still cannot make him drinks more. He only drank 2 oz of milk after i introducing him a new Pigeon's bottle. I then introduced him a new formula - Enfapro A+, gosh, it was like torturing him. Can anyone tell me how to make him drink more milk? I need help...

Home-made cereal

This is the concoction i prepared for my little baby this afternoon, it was concocted by broccoli, cauliflower, rice and carrot. Boil and simmer until all turned soft, then blend it. The texture is very fine for little baby. I put fish fillet in for the past 2 days during making this concoction, but my little baby didn't fancy to take it due to the fishy smell. Today, he just loved his lunch, and no more torturing for feeding him. All my effort just paid off. :-)

Cereal for Elijah

When Jo was still a baby, i bought Milupa for him, only changed to Nestle and EarthBest after Milupa stopped selling in Malaysia. As for Elijah, i brought a tin of Nestle brown rice from Sabah to here, the brown rice is almost finished, so that day i bought this Healthy Times for him when we went down to HK, and i also bought Gerber too. Do you know why i always love shopping in HK? That's because i like their things are fully imported, like this Healthy Times is from USA, and the Gerber is from Mexico. Though i can find Gerber in Malaysia, i don't think the Gerber there is from Mexico. Even the Enfagrow A+ also, in Malaysia, the Enfa products are from Thailand, but in HK, they are from Holland.

OshKosh on sale

Got this little shoes for Elijah from OshKosh, i only paid HKD119 (after 50%) for it. It is damn cheap if compare the price in KL. Actually i wanted to buy the white color, but don't have Elijah's size. Old tales saying that don't let babies wear shoes before they are 1, wearing shoes before 1 will defer their walking development. Do you believe this saying or not? And, do you believe the shoes will "beat" your feet if you put the new shoes on the table/chair? I am not believed the first tale, but i totally believed the second tale. Hehe..amazed?
