Christmas, can't wait any longer

I hope my friends won't say me crazy if i send out the Christmas Party Invitations to them end of this month. You know, i just can't wait to celebrate white Christmas with all of my loved friends. I have been waiting for the Christmas ever since my birthday over and i have been practicing my baking skills a lot so that i can bake variety of Christmas cookies for my loved ones. Other than that, i have even got all the Christmas presents ready. Oh, i am not crazy but just too love to have this day coming.

Birthday eggs

I prepared the hard boiled eggs for my girl on her birthday. The ritual of having red eggs is a must for Chinese when celebrating birthday. Sorry girl because mommy could not find any red powders to dye the eggs, but being creative, i used red ribbons to tie them and put them on the Ikea red chair. Hahaha....still considered RED eggs, right? Having said so, red powder is not good for health too, so i think this is more healthier to get the birthday egg prepared. :)

Western Food

Backdated post: -

Too many food photos are sitting in my hard disk, i really hope i could have more time to post them up before i announce blog break.

We went for "Kitchen" steak house on 31/12, you know, the price of the steaks simply a real killer when comes to festive season and they tasted bad too. However i still prefer to go out rather than eating home-cooked home, staying home just hard to feel the atmosphere of New Year Eve.

I can't remember how much the New Year Eve set dinner had charged, it definitely not a cheap one...

Valentine's Day Celebration

Backdated post.

I can't remember how did we celebrate our Valentine's Day last year, perhaps we just treated the day as normal other day, but this year, it's quite meaningful for hubby and me because we sneaked out for celebrating our 12th V-day at "Huang Chu"(皇厨) steak house. Actually, we didn't go out furtively because Jo knew that we would be going out, but as for Eli, yeah, my maid had to carry him to room so that we could leave peacefully.

It was actually an impromptu dinner as i never thought of spending money on V-day since everything could be damn expensive on that day. However, hubby was keen to go out with me and willingly to spend, so off we went without any initial table booking, luckily we just had to wait for less than 30 minutes before we're being served.

The dinner is always romantic and peaceful without kids, yeah, i really mean it. Although i didn't have any bouquet of flowers nor luxury present, i did enjoy my dinner and my V-day night with my hubby. He was lovely enough to wake up earlier in the morning to accompany me to wet market and had McD as breakfast, although Eli was tagging along in the morning, i was still happy enough to spend my V-day in such a simple but meaningful way. We did go to florist shop after we went to wet market, woo, those flowers were damn expensive and i saw one at RMB1300 with 99 roses. Really a crazy price, hehe, i wondered who was the lucky girl to receive such an expensive and pretty bonquet of flowers.

The dinner actually quite expensive and not worth to pay RMB408, but we had to accept it since V-day is a day about to burn man's wallet. :)

Christmas Eve dinner

That was my dinner on Christmas Eve (sorry, no other pictures as i was too hungry by the time my dinner was served). Pretty pity that night as we couldn't find a place to take our Christmas Eve dinner. Everywhere was jam-packed with patrons and some restaurants charged terribly expensive on their dishes. We were initially planned to take our dinner at Yes Thai, but the price was shockingly expensive, for a family of 3, it was about RMB700+ per table, which those dishes just markup purposely during festive season. That's why we left the restaurant after looking the price. Not even us, most of the patrons left just like us. Then we walked around to hunt for our food, ended up, we simply went into a Japanese restaurant and took our dinner there. Yummy and cheaper dinner. I was glad that we didn't spend tremendously that night. :)

Thai Food in Shen Zhen

Backdated post.

Fried Chicken wrapped by pandan leaves.
stir-fried beef with mango, onion and green pepper.
Tom Yam seafood soup.
Lemon chicken.
Scramble egg.
Coconut pudding.

We pre-celebrated hubby's birthday at Yes Thai (鑫泰) on 22/11/08. Actually it was my first ever Thai food after i came to China. The atmosphere is good with very Siamese decorations. The foods tasted scrumptious and the price for each dish is acceptable. We can't expect to spend a little to eat a foreign food in Mainland, so the price that charged by Yes Thai was acceptable. And we were given a coupon that worth RMB90 too.

What will we do with this coupon? Yeah, we will go there again tonight and Thai food will be our Christmas Eve dinner. Gosh, i have been longing for their Tom-Yam soup, which is a mouthwatering soup that both hubby and i love it!

Chap Goh Mei dinner

The above dishes taken on the past Chap Goh Mei, they looked like Cantonese dishes, but no. Those dishes were actually not cheap at all, and not delicious too. The noodle was too salty and oily, the pork was too spicy, the bean sprout soup was too blandy and the sweet and sour fish was too many "bones". Really not a kid friendly dishes, that's why my boy complained a lot.

Happy Boxing Day

Happy Boxing Day!

This is supposed the day for us ripping off our Christmas presents, but since my dear son just couldn't wait it, haha...so we had opened our presents yesterday night! The PSP that hubby bought for Jo was really brought a big trouble for me, i used a whole night to get understood what is UMD, what is ISO and what is devhook. But, still not able to load any games too. I tried a lot of methods also, copy this and that into the memory stick, the console still shown me the message "the game could not be started". :(

Fortunately all the problems has been solved now, hubby and son are playing the PSP happily there. Do you know who was the one that solved the problem? Hehe...of course is ME! :)

These goes my 4th anniversary

Hubby left comment in my own domain, it's very touching and sweet comment that i never expected he would leave this comment to me.

**In the name of God, I, XXX, will continue loving, XXX, my wife, to have and to hold her, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow.**

Other than the solemn vow, he had bought me a cake which delivered to me by his friend at 7pm, i didn't eat the cake as i don't want the cake aggravates my cough since my cough condition not really improved yet.

The cake mostly taken by Jo and my family members. Look at the picture below, Jo just loves to eat blueberry cheese cake, or maybe i should say, Jo loves to eat blueberry but not the cake. :)

The Fourth Anniversary

Today marks the Fourth Wedding Anniversary for hubby and me. 4 years back, we walked down the aisle and vowed to be together for better for worse and for richer for poorer. That's a special day for me, my heart was pounding when i was walking down the aisle and my heart was filled with joyous when my father passed my hand to you. You looked super handsome that day, and i knew i looked extremely elegance that day. Happy Anniversary to you and love you forever.

Jo hurt himself

Today is my BIL's (Brennen's daddy) birthday, their family and my family were celebrating his birthday at Tai Thong Restaurant. Jo was every naughty there as well as my niece and nephew. Jo's situation is the worst as he hurt his lip and chin, and now there is a big cut over his chin. He hurt himself by knocking the glass door, sigh, he seems like never learnt from mistake as he can hurt himself frequently due to overly misbehaved.

Happy Birthday to my nephew

Today is my nephew's birthday, everyone went for his party celebration except me as it is raining outside, and my very "pantang" mommy said i should confine myself 100 days from not getting wet. That's why i'm staying at home and doing my bayar posts now. I hope Jo doesn't mischief himself and hope he doesn't bring any fuss to my parents. Oh, Happy Birthday to little Brennen!
