I am currently 32 weeks pregnant, but my tummy look big and having those ugly purplish stretch marks. I have been thinking how to get back to my pre-pregnancy body shape, though that time i wasn't slim like model or celebrity, i did have flat tummy and could fit all the 28cm size of Levis's jeans. But now, i think 40cm waist size also impossible for me. Ladies are always ladies, who doesn't want to be pretty and who doesn't want to reduce those tummy fat? OK, if you have these mind like me, you definitely can think about tummy tuck. Like the tummy tuck service provided by Rodeo Drive is your best option. Hong Kong Apple Newspaper
Finally i subscribed to this Apple Newspaper from Hong Kong. Do you know, people can't take any reading materials from Hong Kong back to China. China doesn't has freedom of broadcasting news and even publishing books. That's why China totally banned those reading materials including newspapers and magazines from Hong Kong. However, it is always has WAY to take back those reading materials to China. So far, i have been taking lot of magazines back to Shen Zhen from Hong Kong without failed. Actually, China people can subscribe Hong Kong's newspaper, that's why i said China's rules always have a "hole" to let people dig more to the "hole". What for you can't let people bring back the reading materials to China but allows people to subscribe it? That's a question?!In Hong Kong, you can use HK6 to buy this newspaper, but in China you have to pay RMB15 for it and extra RMB10 for each delivery service. So, means that i have to pay RMB25 for it. Sound excessive, but i just love to read it, nevermind, have to pamper myself sometimes, right?

A yummy dinner..
Those dishes were our dinner. OK, not cook by me. :) The first dish is the famous "chicken in little wooden pail" (桶子鸡), second is "steam scallop with fun si" (粉丝蒸扇贝), the third is "stew green cabbage with pork's backbone" (小白菜焖龙骨汤) and the last is actually a steam rice in a special earthen bowl (钵仔饭). It charged RMB110.
We like the "chicken in little wooden pail" very much as its chicken gravy, it tastes heavenly if you mix the gravy with the steam rice. Imagine, Jo could finish 1 and 1/2 bowl of the steam rice, but actually this dish was a bit salty maybe the chef has sprinkled too much of MSG. After this dinner, Jo drank 24oz of plain water within the hour. So, can imagine how salty was it.
Hubby didn't take any rice as he is on diet and will have a basketball match on the coming Saturday, so he just trying to slim down a bit before the match coming. In contratry, i was like Jo, finished 1 and 1/1 bowl of the steam rice..that's why people like to comment that my hubby loves his body figure much more than me.
How much is your BLOG worth?
Just -- $10726.26. That's very little, as i saw some blogs worth more than hundred thousand. But, does this WORTH really mean to a real money? I don't think so..who wants to buy my blog? I don't think there has ONE la.. anway, i also don't want to sell if there is a one who willing to buy my blog.

My blog is worth $10,726.26.
How much is your blog worth?
Big fuss
Sometimes it's so difficult to control Jo's temper especially when papa is around. Like on Tuesday, he suddenly asked for a scissor from me. He said he wanted to cut the Spider Man (Spider Man's postcard) out, i asked him why, he said he doesn't like the Black Spider Man, i almost laughed my head off when i saw he had doodled all over the Black Spider Man. Yeah, by looking the doodling, i could simply guess he dislikes the Black Spider Man so that he wanted to cut him out and leave the Red Spider Man there.I had to say white lie again (actually i always say), i told him Papa has brought the scissor to his office. Fine, he accepted the reason well. And, i thought he would just forget it after taking his nap.
He asked for the scissor again and fumbling papa's bag to look for it just right after papa stepping into the doorstep. He whine after papa told him he didn't bring the scissor back (actually we hide the scissor as he used to play with the scissor). Episode ended once we took him out for dinner.
But, the fuss continued at late night again, he was sitting by the door whining (refer back to the picture above) and he ran to me while i was trying to snap his fussing looks. He had very pitiful cried until i have to psycho him like little kid cannot play with the scissor and blahblahblah..He told me he just wanted to follow the TV program and learn how to use scissor, i told him "they can use it as they are adults, if you want to learn how to hold the scissor, mommy will buy you a kid's scissor". OK, he just accepted well again once i said i'm going to buy him a kid's scissor.
So, everything settled...

I went down to field..
After dinner, i just followed hubby to his soccer play. I spent around 3 hours sitting on the rock bench and be his supporter. But Jo was more talented as he knew how to scream out his supports to his papa. But he got boring after an hour and started to go down to field. Fortunately, i managed to ask him to sit diam diam there after giving him the Nintendo.
Hubby scored 1 ball and he kept talking the stories all the way long we're back. I know he is happy, he happy i happy...so, great night or not?!
Hubby and wife sometimes just need this kind of sparks, normal but good enough to unite us together.
Lunch of the day
This is our lunch, Hokkien fried rice with sausage as topping. This is Jo's favourite as it has sausage. The pack is enough for Jo and mommy to stuff our stomach till full. It's a delivery service and it charged RMB14. Is it cheap? No, i don't think it's cheap if converted back the price to Malaysia Ringgit. But i think it would charge double if taking this rice in Hong Kong. So, no complaints la...since it's yummy too.Beware when you wear your Crocs
So, beware when you using the escalator provided you're wearing Crocs. Now, i totally banned Jo wearing Crocs when we're going to shopping mall.

Slurp slurp..delicious dishes
31st week updates
Finally i went for my prenatal checkup, my last check was on 10/3/07. Almost due 2 momths.
My weights during each checkup:
Second (5 Jan 07) - 63kg
Third (9 Feb 07) - 65.5kg
Fourth (10 March 07) - 67.3kg
Measured by own scale (24 March 07) - 67.5kg
Blood pressure - 121/67
Baby's weight - 1.585kg (Doctor said baby is only considered average, not so big in 31st weeks)
- Baby has turned and very active.
- I'm so tired recently as tummy getting bigger and rest getting lesser. People would think i'm in full term who is going to give birth soon.
- I have suffered a backpain too, i can't turn my body to left or right side if i sleep on my back. It's like all my nerves are tangled and make me couldn't turn to my desire side.
- Cramp is getting better or i can say barely happen now, i guess should be the calcium sufficiency in my body since i've started to take Anmum lately. This only my 4th tinned so far, the previous 2 tinned just half finished and finally went off due to expired.
- I used to sleep on my right side but most studies said that the left side is the best, so now i gradually have to force myself a bit to adjust my sleeping position.
- Getting difficult to stand/wake up if i sitting on sofa or lying on the bed. So, i prefer to sit on normal wooden chair.
- I have nose bleeding, mild one but happens everyday. Doctor said it's common for pregnant woman, as long as other body parts won't get the bruises easily.
- Have little milk dropped. So, i think no problem for breastfeeding.
- Can't breathe comfortably especially during sleeping time.
- Both legs have mild swollen. Feet seem serious as i almost outgrew my Nike sport shoes. Wrist too as the watch would leave down the watch's mark.
- Have been walking like a duck, baby seems like very active during my walk.
- My skin very dry, despite how religiously of applying lotion over the skin.
- Speaking to stretch marks, one word, TERRIBLE! It turns purplish. So old marks plus new marks equal to UGLY!
- Butt, looks round and big.
- Have double chin.
- Appetite is huge, recently craving for peanut and red-bean.
Next check will fall on 19 May 07. This time spent HKD380 for the consultation without taking any pills. Somemore the scan not so clear if compare the scan in Sabah. So, i can't upload the scan here.
Dragon Hostel in Hong Kong
For those who thinking to have budget vacation in Hong Kong, you can logon to this Dragon Hostel and check out their price for different types of room.
It isn't a HOTEL style, but it is good and clean enough for you to stay overnight there. It is something like HOSTEL and it is located in the most busiest area, Mongkok. And just opposite to "Lui Yan Kai" (The lady's street, 女人街).
I stayed in Dragon Hostel before, it's good as i just paid HKD480 for 5 beds in a room and even with toilet attached. And, the HOSTEL just nearby to KCR and MRT station.
But, it's quite difficult to book the HOSTEL since a lot of foreigners like to stay over there. Anyway, you can try your luck by dropping by to their website.
I need this...VAPOR
I need this (humidifier) everyday from morning till night as long as the aircond is on. It does bring moisture to the room and lessing my sore dryness and dry skin. Weather is hot (about 32 degree) and dry these day, i can see there have blood stains on the Jo's pillow due to his cracked lip, i didn't apply any lipbalm for him but thinking to do it tonight provided i can find my lipbalm later. :)

Spider Man 3
Jo loves this movie so much as he had been talking that he wanted to watch after he watched the Spider Man 2. Finally, he wish has been granted. :)
New taste of pizza
Recently Jo is craving for pizza, maybe it's due to the keep broadcasting advertisement in the TV. Pizza Hut has just launched a new taste of pizza, it costs RMB189 with 9 inch pizza, 4 pieces of chicken wings, a plate of spaghetti, 3 bowls of soup, seafood salad, twisty fries and a slice of greentea icecream cake.9 inch pizza just has 6 slices, 2 slices per person, surprised that Jo loves it so much maybe due to sausage toppings. I love the greentea icecream cake so much, it tastes heavenly..slurp slurp, i will go back to their Hi-Tea soon since they serve cake during 2pm till 5pm. Other than cake, the chicken wings also yummy...speaking the pizza, emm...just so so, nothing much to say, normal only!

The conversation between the salesgirl and Jo.

Jo : *pointing the color painting (Nike sign) at the salesgirl's face* Why jiejie's face has the color picture?
Salesgirl : You want one? I can draw one for you.
Jo : *shake his head* No, i don't want.
Salesgirl : Why? You don't like it?
Jo : I am not selling shoes here, so i don't need the picture.
Salesgirl : *speechless*
Hubby told me about this conversation, this happened when they were shopping to Nike outlet just now right after we had our dinner in Pizza Hut.
Yeah, Jo talks like adult now..no more worries on his speech development.
Avent's ISIS Breast Pump
Finally bought the Avent's ISIS Breast Pump from Mothercare, HK. Last time i only managed to feed Jo for about 4 months and not exclusively as well. This time i have set my target to breastfeed exclusively for my No.2 at least for 1 year since i am a SAHM now. I have set Jazzmint and Zara's mama as my learning examples, and i believe this breastfeeding journey is not as tough as i thought since there're many successfully stories throughout the blogosphere. Check out this BackgammonMasters.com, i believe you can find your joyous moment over there.
I saw a Hong Kong's celebrity 钟嘉欣!
I saw this Hong Kong's celebrity in New Town Plaza, Hong Kong yesterday. Hubby spotted her first (see, he always spots pretty girl faster than spotting other things) and asked me to turn my head to her direction. Gosh, friends, she is so pretty, prettier than what i seen her in magazine and TV. And, she is very tall, almost as tall as my height (i'm 172cm), and she is a fair lady...but her whitening powder looked so thick on her face, i think she might look more comely if she stay out the thick powder.
Currently i am just indulging myself on her program "溏心风暴" at 9:30pm from Monday to Friday.

Tsim Sha Tsui to Mongkok!

Do you know how far is it from Tsim Sha Tsui to Mongkok? I am not sure it takes how long from Tsim Sha Tsui to Mongkok if taking KRC, but i know it takes more than 1 and half hour by walking. Hubby told me it only needs about half an hour can reach to Mongkok when we're hunting his soccer shoes in Tsim Sha Tsui, since it just needed half an hour then he suggested we could walk to Mongkok and see what shops are around, yeah, i thought it's a great ideal since i always love to explore more, but i'm so regretted now as i feel like both of my legs are going to break soon...
Lesson learnt, don't believe what guy said when the guy isn't from Hong Kong...And, we didn't buy anything from there but did bring back a tiredness bodies and sour faces..
Back to normal
We're going to "Dong Men" today as hubby wanted to change money, but sad to say as we totally couldn't find one money changer over there and none of the bank is accepted Hong Kong dollar. We're just so poor as we don't have much China dollar in pocket, hubby forgot to change money before the long holiday started, and the Hong Kong dollar seems like so useless as we couldn't find one shop that willing to accept Hong Kong dollar. What a waste to go to shopping heaven but just don't have money to spend. I'm eyeing a Nike sandal but just can't buy as the shop doesn't accept neither Hong Kong dollar nor foreigner credit card.
Jo didn't have his nap after we're home as he was watching the Spider Man with papa till 6pm, he seemed very tired but just not willing to move himself to room. Finally he fell asleep on 7:30pm. I just couldn't get used to the situation as the living hall is just so silent for us. But, we have a great time as hubby and wife, we're watching TV and laughing together, and we could indulge ourself in eating potato chips and drinking cola..that's a wonderful night for us..
Suddenly feel like my hubby is so lovely..Maybe we're just so deprived of some heart-to-heart communication these days, anyway, i'm glad to see the situation is getting improved. Thanks to everyone's concern and even some prayers!

I can't catch up my Google Reader!
I feel like i can't catch up of blog updating by mommies and daddies. I was just away 6 hours and came back to my Google Reader, it had already hit to 90+ unread updates. It's too fast and i just can't finish reading every single post that they're posted. Eventually, i spent more than 4 hours to do my blog hopping..my eyes and my back just so tired after the hard effort i put in, sometimes do feel very sad, as some mommies & daddies never paid me a visit even i give them a loyalty visit, i think i should stop going to their site as well..:<
Fuss fuss fuss..

Lately, Jo seems like a bit out of control especially his temper. He would give us a big fuss despite we're at home or outside. In fact, his fuss is due to his over demanding, he wants to get successfully on whatever he requested else just crying or mumbling there. In this kind of situation, hubby always plays a role of becoming his savior, he would give in whatever Jo's requested. I have been telling my hubby about his spoiling issue, but he never taken it as a consideration. It seems so difficult to teach him now, i just can't imagine how is he going to be when he is 10 or more older. I believe family education is important, but i definitely don't like there is a hero to save him whenever i'm teaching him.
Like yesterday, Jo insisted he wanted to eat McDonald the moment we passing by the McDonald, i told him nicely we're not going to take heaty food as the weather is hot, he started to give us his fake crying just after i finished my sentence. Somemore, he was very long-winded, could cry all the way long until the rice was served in another restaurant. In the restaurant, he throwing me another fuss as he insisted he wanted to have cola prior the meal served, i said firmly to him "NO, can't take cola everytime when we're out". And, i gave him a spank on his buttock. His loud crying became soft after eating my spank, but his mouth still saying something (which i couldn't hear cleary) non-stop like retorting me and even snuzzling his nose to the chair, i really couldn't stand him anymore and wanted to drag him out for another spank. But, hubby gave me a big interruption and said "nevermind la..don't let him cry", OMG...he did it again when i trying to teach his son. This is not giving him the best but definitely is harmful to him, i don't want my son becomes a little rascal and like to retort whenever i am trying to rectify him.
Situation always opposite whenever hubby is away to work, most of the time i can well control Jo maybe he knows he doesn't have someone who can protect him...Sometimes, i just feel like my home education is really failure as my son does look like a little rascal sometimes. :<

Indonesia or China maid?
Have been thinking to hire a maid after No.2 is out or prior. But, in dilemma in choosing the race. Should i go for Indo maid or China maid? Both salary almost the same, but have to pay more procedures fee and even have to buy her air ticket to China if i go for Indo maid. Somemore, maybe have to renew her visa in certain period. China maid is less procedure to run, and maybe she is most suitable and can be survived in her own country, but i just worrying China maid will kidnap my baby. Indo maid will be more safer but i don't know how can Indo maid mix herself in totally Chinese country and how she can communicate with others. This mean i can't ask my Indo maid to go to wet market unless i find the one who can speak Mandarin. Maid is definitely needed now, i prefer Indo maid mostly but just afraid Indo maid can't survive in China. What should i do? Any suggestion?
Everyday is a normal day
He seems like very tired, maybe he didn't sleep well for the past 2 days due to stay late watching the Europe Champion League. I'm tired too, i didn't sleep well due to the constantly calf cramping and unknown uncomfortable feel on my back. My bump is huge though i am just 31 weeks of pregnant, just can't imagine how big will the bump like when i almost in full term, maybe i can't walk absolutely. Even now i also walk like a duck..
The long holiday is almost over, we have been staying at home everyday as outside is quite hot and somemore i can't really walk like before. What a wasteful to this long holiday! Supposed to stay 2 nights in Hong Kong, but the hotel just so full until i have to keep on delaying my plan to Ocean Park.

Tag: Food Around The World
I'm not a choosy people especially comes to food, i can eat whatever food as long as it's edible to eat. But, of course, i do have my own favourite food though i ain't choosy.
In China, i always have chance to try the delicious duck and goose meat which their tastes are totally different with the one i tried in Sabah. Especially the "pin pei ngak" (the crispy duck skin), this is actually a roast duck, after the duck being roasted, the chef would "pare" the crispy duck skin and arrange them in the plate. About the meat, well, i don't know where is the meat gone. The crispy duck skin served with a thin layer of rice made "popiah" skin, just put the duck skin, some veges slice and sauce inside the popiah and roll it then eat. The taste is heavenly..
Crispy duck skin.

The rice made "popiah" skin.
The price of this food at my place is around RMB46 to RMB75, depends the size of the duck. I think this food is most famous in Beijing, so if you have chance to visit to Beijing, don't forget to try this out.

The feeling is back..
I am not keen to soccer match but since hubby said "maybe recently we're just so deprived of tagging together", ya, i'm quite agreed, i used to sit in front of computer and he used to sit in front of the TV, in order to improve our relationship so i have to make his interest as my interest too..so i woke up at 3:30am and watched the Liverpool VS Chelsea with hubby. The ambience was good maybe the whole living room was just 2 of us, we could have nice chat without disturbing by Jo. The feel is excellent..so it's worth for me to sacrifice my slumberland time and watching TV together. So, tonight i will watch the AC Milan VS Manchester United together with hubby again...
Happy First Anniversary
Today is the first anniversary eve for my blog, time passes fast, yeah, my blog is going to celebrate its FIRST birthday tomorrow. Writing a blog has been becoming my hobby and my best companion though i am not good in writing, i just look back here if i wanted to trace back some memories especially about my precious little Jo. It's just too fast to say "Happy First Anniversary" to Something about Lai.
It's still many more to come..just stay tune!

That's what i know at the moment..
Maybe you would feel weird why a man can treat his wife in this way somemore his wife is heavily expecting, i did ask him why, but he didn't admit he's wrong. I assumed he can't see himself clearly and doesn't know he has changed dramatically. He becomes a bit arrogant these days, i ain't sure does his act arrogant in his workplace or not, but i assumed he doesn't. At home, i can sense the different, he seems impatient all the time and his look always like conveying me a message "why you are so ma-fan(troublesome)" ...of course he doesn't admit this..
What i found is maybe is the money problem, you know, sometimes men are like that, they will like very "snooty" when they have money and just know to settle everything by using money. For them, they might think money can do everything including can have more ladies..maybe my hubby hasn't reached to that stage who willing to spend money for other ladies, but for me, he seems so arrogant and maybe he feels like the outsiders better than the insider...i don't know....maybe he wants to try but he just not dare to try...you get what i mean? Of course this is just my presumption and also no point to ask la...who will admit boldly about the affair?
As far as i know i am sure his work is ok, he doesn't have much pressure (as he told me) just sometimes a bit busy. Financial, we're ok, his income is enough for us (including the No.2) and even for his parents. Stress, he said stress only comes when there are lots of things piling up on his desk. He loves Jo deeply which i can't deny. You would agree once you see how he treating Jo. For No.2, i don't know, maybe he will love No.2 like loving Jo or just opposite.
So, what is the problem keep triggering all those blues? Maybe just like you said, he is so insensitive and careless to his wife..he told me he loves me very much and he prays for us everyday..but should the love grow in such a way? Yesterday he took his initiative to approach me, he didn't say what he did (maybe too arrogant and doesn't want to admit) but he acted super-duper lovely to me, so the problem is tentatively settled though i know the problems actually just hide underneath and will be risen anytime..but i just don't want to quarrel to him anymore...
Is this a typical issue for every family?
Labour Day
Today is a labour day, it is a big celebration in China as most of the companies are going to close for 1 week. Hubby has his holiday started from today till Sunday. We didn't have much planning on how to spend our long holiday, but for sure this weekend we will head to Hong Kong again as i will have my prenatal checkup there. As the weather is fine, we will bring Jo to Ocean Park as he keeps saying he wanted to feed the dolphin. Let see how..
We had our buffet dinner in "Du Zhi Du" Hotel just now, we paid RMB254 for 3 pax, cheap?! Jo had a wonderful time there as he could drink cola, eat jelly and cakes, all are his favourite! But rice, sigh, just a bit...
Oh, ya, today is quite difficult to wave for a taxi, every taxi just so FULL even bus also squeezed like sardine..

26 days to go..then just wave bye bye
Jo always likes to show me his fake cry and been using this trick to let mommy gives in what he wanted. I have postponed my flight from 5/5 to 27/5, that time will be about 34 weeks and 1 day pregnant, i had checked with the Airasia prior i changed my ticket, the staff told me they are not accepted pregnant woman who is above 35 weeks pregnant, so i still have time la...
I told hubby about my postponed, what he said was "if they really want to kacau (disturb) you and don't let you take the flight then you better prepare yourself to give birth in Hong Kong la..". In essence, it isn't a big issue for me if really wanted me to give birth in HK since i also headache where should i have my confinement.
OK la, dear, you just preparing your money provided Airasia doesn't allow me to board the flight. You know, the cost for giving birth in HK is about HKD30,000 - HK40,000, it's about half in Malaysia Ringgit, gosh...i can give birth 5 times in KL and 7 times in KK. So, do you think i will choose HK for delivering my No.2? But..just in case i can't board the flight la..
