Big fuss

Sometimes it's so difficult to control Jo's temper especially when papa is around. Like on Tuesday, he suddenly asked for a scissor from me. He said he wanted to cut the Spider Man (Spider Man's postcard) out, i asked him why, he said he doesn't like the Black Spider Man, i almost laughed my head off when i saw he had doodled all over the Black Spider Man. Yeah, by looking the doodling, i could simply guess he dislikes the Black Spider Man so that he wanted to cut him out and leave the Red Spider Man there.

I had to say white lie again (actually i always say), i told him Papa has brought the scissor to his office. Fine, he accepted the reason well. And, i thought he would just forget it after taking his nap.

He asked for the scissor again and fumbling papa's bag to look for it just right after papa stepping into the doorstep. He whine after papa told him he didn't bring the scissor back (actually we hide the scissor as he used to play with the scissor). Episode ended once we took him out for dinner.

But, the fuss continued at late night again, he was sitting by the door whining (refer back to the picture above) and he ran to me while i was trying to snap his fussing looks. He had very pitiful cried until i have to psycho him like little kid cannot play with the scissor and blahblahblah..He told me he just wanted to follow the TV program and learn how to use scissor, i told him "they can use it as they are adults, if you want to learn how to hold the scissor, mommy will buy you a kid's scissor". OK, he just accepted well again once i said i'm going to buy him a kid's scissor.

So, everything settled...

Normally I gave my children kid's scissors to play around, when they can handle well then only change to normal scissor.

Jo's looking more like his Daddy every day hor?

I hide my scissors yet the boys can find them and use it to cut their hair in the bathroom!. Actually if a child is interested , you can then teach him how to use it properly....ONLY with supervision.

Keith also does the same thing (throwing tantrums) whenever we said "NO" to something he'd ask for. I wonder when he can understand the word "NO". Sometimes, I really felt irritated with the screaming and whining.

looks like all parents have to gone thru the stages of telling white lies.

you gotten him the kid's scissor already? should get him one cos it's quite safe and easy for him to use to cut paper.

Maybe you want to explain to him why he cannot use scissor in case he hurt himself. I think he will listens to you readily if he understood why scissor cannot be used as toy.

Why all kids like to play with dangerous tools??? *scratch head*

I think kids shouldn't play with scissors unless we monitor them.
