Hubby borrowed the PSP from his colleague yesterday and let Jo tried out, Jo likes it very much and kept saying "my turn..my turn, i want to play...". Hubby planning to buy one for Jo, but still doesn't know which one is better, PSP, Nintendo or Xbox. Finally he has decided after trying the PSP, he said better buy XBox 360 as he felt dizzy after his eyes too concentrating on the PSP small screen. But for me, i think better don't buy any..i don't want both of my Mr.Ls are playing the game like no tomorrow...

that is one thing I don't dare to start to....worried once start, there is no end to it.
Rayner keep saying his friend play the playstation. I hope he doesn't come back and tell me he wants a playstation too leh....
But there is one thing I tot of introducing, also needs a playstation . But instead of using a controller to play, it uses a camera (called the I-toy). So the kids can play the games using the TV screen virtually. Good form of exercise and it's doesn't strain their eyes using a controller.
Jan - Hubby actually wants to play too..that's why he just used excuse la..LOL!
This thing I tell you can get addicted one.. Hubs also suggested we get Nintendo but I think it's not good to expose Ryan to such a thing at such age. If Jo is able to monitor himself, then I think it's okay la..
yaya, better dun buy... my hubby also always stick to his PS2 whenever he is free
Research says, kids who play console games can react to situations better and faster. Can consider...
psp screen very small. eyes will get tired very easily. i suggest nintendo or even the new one wii. i heard good reviews on wii. it looks very fun in the commercial, different type of playing method, like intead of pressing buttons, you are actually doing the motion either with your hand or body. is more involve. also their games are kids friendlier, not as violent as some playstations' games.
These things are quite addictive. Unless you control your boy on when he can play ... We have a something that connects to the TV (which my hubby bought during a clearance sale) and I only allow the boys to play once a week and sometimes none for weeks. I use it as a 'reward' time.

So now Jo is addicted to the PSP .. wait till you get the XboX .. tell you lar .. both Mr Lai will be engrossed with that small machine
my husband contributed most of his night time with the xbox .. very addictive one lar :)
I saw how addicted my bro-in-law and nephew get with this PSP thingy...and never dare to buy! Good thing is hubby not very into all these computer games...hehe..:P
We introduced educational comp games to Damien recently, and this boy is hooked...now he played an hour every weekend...gotta control him if not he won't know when to stop! ;)
we have playstation 1 but.. hmm.. one control spoiled... so stop playing. I used to play the dancing map myself.. haha...
here in the UK, we have to buy original games only. Getting the console is already one thing, then every month - you're tempted to buy the new games.
And I always wonder when am I going to get my bling*bling*
Haha!! I still remember many many years ago, when my friend lent me his GameBoy machine to play on, I was UP ALL NIGHT (seriously, no kidding) playing tetris on it! And when he came home after his night shift in the morning, I was still on it. He had to drag me away for wanton breakfast.... So, it is a dangerous toy, in the wrong mind!
i guessed its like either you buy or end up having two sulking kids at home rite? can buy la, maybe play after finishing homework and revision and time jo's playtime too.
Wow, he so young know how to play PSP. My hubby forbid my children to play any of these games.
We bought game boy for our kids last yr as a bday gifts. We bought the cartridge with 200 games in it, so it will last a long time. I think it will be good if you set rules before you give it to him. Till now, my kids are still following the rules.
If I picked one it would be Xbox 360. I love my Xbox. But it can be addicting from time to time.
These games distract my son and it has hurt his school. Makes me angry that he takes the game machines into the bathroom and is in there much too long.
My hubby strongly dislike kids glued to the PSP or other game boys. He gets very annoyed when these kids seems to be so antisocial when during a outing together. He said he will never buy one for the kids.
I do not plan to introduce any to my 4 year old boy since like many had pointed out that it can be addictive. Hubby had been hinting to buy Playstation to our son since he was born but I had brushed it off. It's more for him to play rather than for the son.
