What to do when you see this?

If you remeber this No more Eczema, then you would know why i am so wasteful to use water when comes to washing Jo's clothes. Look at the picture above, can you still see the bubbles? I was shocked when i saw those bubbles and it still have the detergent feel when i touched the water. But, those clothes had already been washed for 6 times (2 rounds of full machine washed), see..so terrible. I just put a bit of "Attack" washing powder into the machine, but the bubbles still very clear there after few washing. So, that day, my machine was very busy for washing Jo's clothes. It up to 12 times. (4 rounds of full machine washed).

Terrible...and so wasting water. If i am not pregnant, i think i will hand wash those clothes. No wonder Jo didn't have any sign to suffer from eczema when we were in Malaysia, as that time his nanny prefered to hand wash his clothes, but his eczema has been appearing on and off after we are relocated in China as his clothes are all dumped inside the machine.

Check your laundry, see is there any serious bubbles like what i have or not, then tell me...i just want to know, why it's so difficult to wash out the detergent powder??

maybe u try to change the washing powder to other brand? I tot "Attack" can't produce so much bubble one? Or the one in china is different? hehe

Is your water hard or soft water? If it is hard water, the soap scums will still be there. If you really wanna get rid of the hard water, invest in a water softener.

I've used Attack before and it doesn't get so sudsy. Maybe you gotta rinse it more? hmmm...but you've already gone thru 2 rounds eh?
I give up... think you need to check with the expert, Laundry Amah :)

Hi Huisia, have you tried using liquid detergent before? I find liquid detergent better, remove dirt and is clean. I tried the powder once and then decided to use liquid instead.

Initially, I thot why you want us to see unclean clothes and I was like "oh dear" as I read on.

Maybe you can try liquid detergent?
Or put less of the powder? Is the Attack powder detergent for washing machine and low suds as well?

My eldest daughter also gets eczema - only started end of last year!! But for her, mainly due to dry skin and eggs, chocs... (I am still discovering what other food that triggers it off), but I never thot detergent would trigger an eczema too. Thanks for sharing.

Hahaha *laughing at Amah's comment*. Ya ya, go and get soap supplied by Amah.

I used to use Attack too but found my 'delicate fingers' cannot endure to the soda in the detergent. I later changed to Amway's SA8, maybe u shud try it too (not trying to advertise for Amway, okay?)

i have heard before from the Rainbow machine salesman that thru washing machine, when water drain out below, all dirt still trap on top of the clothes. Hui Sia, u can be right.

I suffer mild eczema since I can remember. Claudia too but her condition is not because of detergent(coz I hand wash all her cloth). Try use the sensitive skin soap powder/liquid detergent just to wash Jo clothes. it should be available in supermarket.

I suggest u change your detergent to something that has hypoallergenic substance in it.

Either too much powder used or water is too hard or its just crap powder. Hope it gets cleaner as you go along. TAG!

That is peculiar. Wonder if that affected my daughter. She still gets some eczema affects even at 15. Though much worse when she is a baby.
